The Challenge of Rudolf Steiner

Updated: Apr 20, 2018

Rudolf Steiner was a spiritual visionary, he touched most every aspect of humanity from economics to social order and agriculture to architecture, and beyond.

Steiner also challenges many people because he was unafraid to challenge the meta aspect of being human, which of course challenges the depths of what we think we know about being human.

All of us have pondered the questions that question our nature:"What are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going?"

Steiner dove into this quest with a thoroughness and authority unrivaled on Earth through his platform of Anthroposophy that postulates the existence of an objective, intellectually comprehensible spiritual world, accessible to human experience through inner development.

Once understood, it becomes clear that what Steiner was challenging us to do is unlearn the ideas we have been taught in the modern materialistic world. It is easy to see how controversial this posture is considering the certainty that modern science and modern medicine demand.

One example of mainstream success from Steiner's work is Biodynamic Agriculture. He delivered eight lectures in 1924 in response to the request from farmers to help them regenerate the life force of their farms. They have become known as The Agriculture Course (BUY the Book). Another is Waldorf School education.

Steiner gave over 6,000 lectures and wrote many books during his life. This documentary video presents his influence on some of the greatest thinkers of our age:

Here are many of the interviews conducted for the documentary:
